May 18, 2026 – FriGol, one of Brazil’s leading and most traditional beef processors, is participating in SIAL Shanghai 2026, held from May 18 to 20 in China. Recognized as Asia’s largest food and beverage exhibition, this year’s event brings together companies and professionals from global food industry markets.

The company is exhibiting within the Brazilian Beef pavilion, organized by the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency. Covering 1,200 square meters, the pavilion brings together Brazilian exporters and has established itself as an important business and networking hub for buyers and strategic partners from across Asia.

According to Luciano Pascon, FriGol’s CEO, participating in the exhibition strengthens the company’s presence in its priority markets.

“Asia continues to play a fundamental role in FriGol’s strategy. Being at SIAL Shanghai allows us to expand our commercial connections, stay up to date with consumer trends, and showcase the quality and reliability of our products to the international market,” he said.

Throughout May, Pascon and members of FriGol’s export team also conducted a series of meetings with customers in China and Southeast Asia, reinforcing relationships built over recent years. On May 14 and 15, the company participated in The Beef and Road: Bridging the Brazil–China Beef Routes, a Brazilian Beef project initiative held for the first time in Chongqing.

The event brought together Brazilian companies, Chinese importers, and business partners through Beef Connect business matchmaking sessions, institutional meetings, and technical visits, including a visit to Chongqing Mingpinfu Group Co., further strengthening connections between Brazilian beef and one of the most strategic markets in China.

FriGol currently has two company-owned processing plants approved to export to China, located in Lençóis Paulista and Água Azul do Norte, as well as two partner facilities providing contract processing services in Ji-Paraná. China remains the company’s largest export destination.

According to Rogério Bonato, FriGol has also been expanding its presence in other markets across the region.

“In addition to China, we have been making consistent progress in Southeast Asia, particularly in countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines, which are part of our market diversification strategy. Participating in initiatives such as SIAL Shanghai and The Beef and Road is essential for strengthening relationships with importers and distributors while expanding business opportunities throughout the region,” he said.

The 2026 edition of SIAL Shanghai is expected to bring together more than 5,000 exhibitors from over 75 countries and regions, covering more than 200,000 square meters of exhibition space and welcoming approximately 180,000 professional visitors.
